Volkswagen Golf R 400 finally set for production with the most powerful engine

Volkswagen Golf R 400 was introduced as a concept at Beijing Motor Show earlier this year. This concept is based on the already existing Golf R, but has undergone some hefty and muscular features to make it more potent. Initially, the W12 powered prototype was never intended to go to production but rumours suggest this model will go into production as Golf R 400.

Now Britain’s Car Magazine claims that the Golf R400 has received a green light for production. It is a high performance model with turbo four technology. This technology has been previously showcased on the TT Quattro Sport concept. Audi officials claim that the engine will produce between 400 and 414 horsepower.

This power output is far more than that of the existing Golf R. The current VW Golf R Engine produces 210hp, 290hp in the cool GTI version or 170hp in the standard version.

It will clock 3.9 seconds for a 0-62 time and will reach an electronically limited top speed of 174 mph. We can add the Golf R400 to the super hatch list due to these kinds of performance stats and engine power it makes.

The all new Volkswagen Golf R 400 will use sophisticated aerodynamics and Sport suspension system with upgraded brake system to handle the power. The all new Volkswagen Golf R 400 is likely to be a full production model in future and there is no chance of declaring it a limited version. It hasn’t been confirmed yet that when the R 400 will hit the market.
